This is the workpiece that was produced during the system's first successful pour test. It is not perfect and shows that the system needs refinement but it is an acceptable example of the die casting process, The state of the workpiece and the system after the pour test are perfect conversation starters for the potential limits of die casting and why larger scale die cast systems have the extra features and more robust designs they have.
